Rarities "new edition" è un interessante doppio CD che include i primi singoli di Emiliana Torrini usciti per la One Little Indian dal 1999 al 2001, insieme a versioni alternative e remix di classe (Rae & Christian, Tore Johansson, Dreemhouse e Dillon & Dickens) dei vecchi brani. Sono state inserite nella raccolta anche alcune tracce difficili da trovare, tra cui "Flirt" in collaborazione con Slowblow, "7-Up Days" and "Weird Friendless Kid".

L'album ha lo stesso nome del cd "Rarities" uscito negli USA nel 2001 e ne include tutte le tracce.
